The common misconception about this book is that because the word "rich" is in the title, then it must be about money. However, it is deeper than that; all of the steps toward "riches" explained in this book are merely steps towards a certain achievement. That achievement can be a goal to be a better person, a goal to be the best in your field, or even a short term goal for specific scenarios.
There are little "guidelines" to life given throughout the book that I like to think I follow, and I guess this is the part of my blog where I should share them with whoever's reading this:
"Imagine yourself successful....Close your eyes and concentrate on your desires and goals...."
"Reflect on your past successes....You can recall [them] when you begin to lose faith in yourself."
"Respond positively to life....Your image, your reactions to life and your decisions are completely within your control."Not only can these few tips to life bring you wealth, but they can make you a better person. Not a better person for anyone else; a better person for yourself.
While reading this book, I always think about a poem that has stuck with me for as long as I can remember (which isn't saying much because I usually don't remember what I eat for breakfast). Not only do I recommend looking into this book (Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill), but I also encourage you to look into this poem and think about each component of it.
